Os Lagartos Estão na Bíblia Duas Vezes — Imundos, e Extremamente Sábios



  • Os lagartos aparecem duas vezes nas Escrituras, e as duas passagens dificilmente poderiam discordar mais.
  • Levítico 11:29-30 lista cinco tipos entre as criaturas impuras. Os tradutores discordam sobre várias identificações, e a versão King James resolve a mesma incerteza de forma diferente.
  • Provérbios 30:28 nomeia o lagarto entre quatro pequenas criaturas que são “extremamente sábias”: pode ser apanhado com a mão e é encontrado nos palácios dos reis.
  • Todas as quatro nessa lista são pequenas e não deveriam ser capazes de fazer o que fazem — a formiga sem comandante, os gafanhotos sem rei, o lagarto sem defesa.
