Provérbios 18:21

Reflexão: Our words have the power to bring life or death, blessing or curse. We must be mindful of the impact of our communication.
Tiago 3:5-6
“So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness.”
Reflexão: The tongue, though small, has immense power. Our words can spread like wildfire, causing great harm if not controlled.

Efésios 4:29

Reflexão: Our communication should be free from corrupting, harmful speech. Instead, we should speak words that build others up and impart grace.

Listening and Understanding:
Tiago 1:19

Tiago 3:2

Salmo 141:3

Blessing and Cursing:
Tiago 3:9-10
“Com ela bendizemos o Senhor e Pai, e com ela amaldiçoamos os homens, feitos à semelhança de Deus. Da mesma boca procedem bênção e maldição. Meus irmãos, não convém que isto seja assim.”
Reflexão: It is inconsistent and inappropriate to use our speech both to bless God and to curse people made in His image. Our communication should consistently reflect God’s character.
Romanos 12:14
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.”
Reflexão: Even in the face of persecution or mistreatment, we are called to respond with blessing rather than cursing. Our communication should reflect Christ’s love.
Efésios 4:31
“Toda a amargura, e ira, e cólera, e gritaria, e blasfêmias e toda a malícia sejam tiradas dentre vós.”
Reflexão: We must put away all forms of destructive communication, such as bitterness, wrath, and slander, and communicate with kindness and forgiveness.

1 Tessalonicenses 5:11

Reflexão: Our communication should aim to encourage and build up others, fostering growth and unity in the body of Christ.
Romanos 15:4
“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. ” In times of struggle and uncertainty, it is essential to turn to these teachings for solace and strength. By reflecting on the wisdom contained in the Scriptures, we find not only encouragement but also the assurance that we are not alone in our journeys. Moreover, seeking out bible verses on community support can deepen our connections with others and remind us of the power of unity in faith.
Reflexão: The Scriptures are a source of encouragement and hope. Our communication should likewise point others to the truth and promises of God’s Word.
2 Coríntios 1:3-4
“Bendito seja o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai das misericórdias e o Deus de toda a consolação, que nos consola em toda a nossa tribulação, para que também possamos consolar os que estiverem em alguma tribulação, com a consolação com que nós mesmos somos consolados por Deus.”
Reflexão: Just as God comforts us in our troubles, we are called to extend that same comfort to others through our words and presence.
Praying and Praising:
Salmo 19:14

Reflexão: Our communication should not only be pleasing to others but ultimately acceptable in God’s sight. We should seek His approval in our speech.
Efésios 5:19-20
“Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Reflexão: Our communication should include expressions of worship, gratitude, and thanksgiving to God, both individually and corporately.
Colossenses 4:2
“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”
Reflexão: Prayer is a vital form of communication with God. We should be diligent and watchful in prayer, expressing our gratitude and dependence on Him.
Proclamation and Witness:
Mateus 28:19-20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
Reflexão: As followers of Christ, we are commissioned to communicate the gospel to all nations, making disciples and teaching them to obey Christ’s commands.
Atos 1:8
