携挙(ラプチャー)に関する17の聖書箇所

  • 英語の「rapture(携挙)」という言葉の由来 引き上げられる, 、「私たちは引き上げられる」という、ラテン語ウルガタ訳がテサロニケ人への手紙第一4章17節で使用している動詞。ギリシャ語の動詞は ハルパゾ, で、「奪い取る」「ひったくる」という意味です。
  • テサロニケ人への手紙第一4章16-17節とコリント人への手紙第一15章51-52節はどちらも、ラッパの音、キリストにある死者の復活、そして生きている信者が引き上げられるか変えられることについて記述しています。
  • マタイによる福音書24章29-31節は、選民の集められを「その苦難の日の後すぐ」に、地上のすべての民が見る中で起こることとしています。

The rapture is the moment, at Christ’s coming, when believers still alive are caught up with the risen dead to meet the Lord in the air. Paul describes it in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, and the English word is derived from the verb the Latin Vulgate uses for “caught up” in verse 17, rapiemur, “we will be caught up.” Other passages speak of Christ coming for his people: 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 on the living changed “in the twinkling of an eye,”…
