  • Êxodo 19:4 e Deuteronómio 32:11 retratam Deus a tirar Israel do Egito e a conduzi-lo pelo deserto como uma águia carrega as suas crias.
  • Isaías 40:31 promete que aqueles que esperam pelo Senhor “subirão com asas como águias”, em resposta à queixa de Israel de que o seu caminho estava oculto de Deus (40:27).
