  • Os unicórnios são mencionados em algumas traduções inglesas da Bíblia, mas os estudiosos modernos concordam que se trata de uma tradução incorreta da palavra hebraica “re’em”, que provavelmente se refere a um boi selvagem ou auroque.
  • A palavra “unicórnio” na Bíblia originou-se de antigas traduções gregas e latinas, onde “re’em” foi traduzido como “monokeros” (de um só chifre) e “unicornis”, influenciando traduções inglesas posteriores.

Are unicorns actually mentioned in the Bible? The short answer is that unicorns are mentioned in some English translations of the Bible, but this is generally considered a mistranslation of the original Hebrew text.
