  • Ephesians 5:25 measures a husband’s love by Christ, who gave himself up for the church, and Ephesians 5:33 asks the wife to respect her husband.
  • 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 gives husband and wife the same authority over each other’s body and allows abstaining only by mutual consent and for a time.
