Résumé
- Le mot « amour » apparaît environ 500 à 550 fois dans la Bible, selon la traduction. Cette répétition souligne l'importance de l'amour dans le plan de Dieu pour la création et la rédemption, et sert de rappel du caractère de Dieu et de ses attentes envers Son peuple.
- La Bible décrit différents types d'amour, notamment l'agapè (amour inconditionnel et sacrificiel), la philia (amour fraternel ou amitié étroite), le storgê (amour familial) et l'éros (amour romantique ou sexuel). Ces types d'amour ne s'excluent pas mutuellement et se chevauchent ou s'entremêlent souvent de manière complexe.
- L'amour de Dieu est décrit comme inconditionnel, inébranlable et transformateur. Il est dépeint comme un aspect fondamental de la nature de Dieu et est démontré par Ses actions dans la création, la rédemption et les relations d'alliance.
