花に関する18の聖書の一節と、なぜ聖書が繰り返しそれらが枯れると言うのか

  • 聖書に登場する花の多くは、イザヤ書40章からヨブ記、詩篇、ヤコブの手紙、ペテロの手紙一に至るまで、人間の命の短さを象徴しています。
  • イザヤ書40章6-8節は、枯れゆく草と、永遠に立つ「私たちの神の言葉」を対比させています。
  • マタイの福音書6章30節でイエスは、明日には焼かれる草さえ神が装ってくださるなら、神の民を装わないはずがないと説いています。
  • ソロモンは神殿の内陣と外陣の壁に、開いた花の彫刻を施しました(列王記上6章29節)。
