概要
- ギリシャ語の「kai」は「and（そして）」に似た多目的な接続詞ですが、「また」「～でさえ」「しかし」という意味も持ち、新約聖書では文脈をつなぎ、考えを強調するためによく使われます。
- 「kai」という言葉はギリシャ語の新約聖書に約9,000回登場し、聖書の物語における相互のつながりや連続性を重視する考え方を反映していることがよくあります。
- 「Kai」という名前は聖書には登場しません。この名前は文化によって「ハワイ語で海」「日本語で貝」など様々な意味を持ちますが、聖書のギリシャ語の「kai」とは直接的な関係はありません。
- 「kai」を理解することは聖書解釈において極めて重要です。なぜなら、原文の流れや文脈、微妙なニュアンスを伝える助けとなり、聖書に対する霊的な洞察や理解を深めることができるからです。
