概要

  • 聖書は「ネガティブなエネルギー」について語ることはありません。聖書が語るのは、罪、人間の怒りや嫉妬、そして悪霊についてであり、信者に対しては神に近づくことによって「悪魔に立ち向かう」よう教えています（ヤコブの手紙4章7〜8節）。
  • 聖書は占いやお守りを禁じており（申命記18章10〜11節）、カトリック教会のカテキズムも「お守りを身につけることも非難されるべきことである」と述べています（2117項）。
  • 正教会の祈祷書には「嫉妬や羨望、邪視から」守られるための祈りがあり、正教会はそれに対抗するための魔術的な儀式を求めて「占い師」のもとへ行くことを禁じています。
  • 詩編91編（正教会やカトリックの聖書では詩編90編）は正教会の第六時課で唱えられ、正教会の晩祷には詩編68編1〜2節で始まる十字架への祈りが含まれています。
  • 短い祈りは、恐れ、悪の気配、他人の怒り、呪いへの恐怖、自分自身の怒り、夜の暗い思考、罪悪感、絶望感、そして家が重苦しいと感じる時などを対象としています。
  • 伝統的な祈りは、1888年のカトリックの 『祈りの手引書』 （「悪しき思いに対して」「嫉妬に対して」）や、1928年の英国聖公会祈祷書（「我らの暗闇を照らしたまえ」）に由来します。
