  • 十戒の「むさぼってはならない」という戒めは、否定的な行動につながる内面的な欲望を扱い、単なる行動の修正よりも心の変革が重要であることを強調しています。
  • むさぼりとは、他人の所有物や成功に対する嫉妬や憤りから生じる無秩序な欲望ですが、健全な野心は勤勉さと協力を促すものです。
  • 消費主義とソーシャルメディアに突き動かされる現代文化は、人々の生活を加工されたイメージや物質的な成功と絶えず比較させることで、不満とむさぼる心を助長しています。
  • 簡素さ、孤独、奉仕、感謝といった霊的実践は、満ち足りた心を育み、物質的な欲望ではなくキリストへと心を向けることで、むさぼる心と戦う助けとなります。
