概要

  • イエスは弟子たちに「自分を迫害する者のために祈りなさい」（マタイによる福音書5章44節）と教え、十字架の上から処刑者たちのために祈られました（ルカによる福音書23章34節）。
  • 詩編にも、「悪人」からの守りを求める祈り（詩編140編1節）や、「悪人の悪が絶えるように」と願う祈り（詩編7編9節）があります。
  • 短い祈りとして、害をなす人、陰謀、子供と家庭、心の変化、悪しき指導者、残酷な上司、被害者、復讐と正義への願いなどが含まれます。
  • 1928年版『英国聖公会祈祷書』の連祷には、「我らの敵、迫害する者、中傷する者を赦し、彼らの心を翻してくださるように」と神に求める祈りがあります（57ページ）。
