22 Bible Verses About Aliens, Angels and Foreigners



  • The Bible does not mention life on other planets; Colossians 1:16 counts everything “in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible” as created through the Son.
  • Ezekiel 1 describes four living creatures with four faces each and wheels made like “a wheel intersecting a wheel,” and Ezekiel 10:20 identifies the creatures as cherubim.
  • The four living creatures of Revelation 4 have the four faces of Ezekiel 1:10 and the six wings of the seraphim in Isaiah 6:2.
  • In the King James Version, alien means a foreigner, as in Exodus 18:3, and Leviticus 19:34 commands Israel to love the foreigner “as yourself.”
  • 1 Peter 2:11 and Hebrews 11:13 call believers foreigners on earth, and Philippians 3:20 places their citizenship in heaven.

The Bible does not speak of life on other planets. It calls the heavens God’s work (Psalm 19:1), describes angels sent to people whose appearance terrified those who saw them (Daniel 10:5-7, Luke 2:9-10), and commands love for the foreigner (Leviticus 19:34). The King James Version uses alien for a foreigner: Moses names his son Gershom because “I have been an alien in a strange land” (Exodus 18:3), and Ephesians 2:12 describes Gentiles as “aliens from the commonwealth of Israel.”…
