Vanessa no está en la Biblia, pero la mitad de ella es Ester



  • Vanessa no está en la Biblia y no tiene etimología: Jonathan Swift lo inventó en 1726 para su poema Cadenus y Vanessa, al reorganizar las sílabas iniciales de los nombres de su amiga Esther Vanhomrigh.
  • La segunda mitad del nombre es Ester, quien tiene su propio libro en las Escrituras.
  • Ester entra en la sala del trono del rey sin ser invitada, lo cual se castigaba con la muerte, después de que Mardoqueo le dice claramente que Dios liberará a su pueblo de todos modos: “si callas absolutamente en este tiempo… tú y la casa de tu padre pereceréis” (Ester 4:14).
