概要
- プロテスタント聖書は66冊（旧約39冊、新約27冊）、カトリック聖書は73冊、ヘブライ語聖書は24冊、ギリシャ正教会の聖書は当方の集計で77冊、エチオピア聖書は81冊です。
- ヘブライ語聖書の24冊は、プロテスタントの39冊と同じテキストを含んでいます。サムエル記、列王記、歴代誌、エズラ記・ネヘミヤ記、および12の小預言書は、それぞれ1冊として数えられます。
- カトリック聖書には、トビト記、ユディト記、知恵の書、シラ書、バルク書、マカバイ記1・2書が追加され、エステル記とダニエル記が長くなっています。1611年の欽定訳聖書は、これら14の書物を外典として印刷し、合計80冊としていました。
- 正教会の聖書には、エズラ記第1書やマカバイ記第3書などが追加され、エチオピア教会はエノク書やヨベル書を含めています。すべてのキリスト教聖書は、新約聖書の27冊を共有していますが、エチオピア聖書のみ35冊と数えます。
