カトリック聖書とプロテスタント聖書：なぜカトリックは73書でプロテスタントは66書なのか

概要

  • カトリックの聖書は73書（旧約聖書46書、新約聖書27書）、プロテスタントの聖書は66書（旧約聖書39書、新約聖書27書）で構成されており、新約聖書の内容は同じです。
  • 追加されている7つの書は、トビト記、ユディト記、マカバイ記1・2、知恵の書、シラ書（集会の書）、バルク書であり、カトリックの聖書にはエステル記とダニエル記の長い版も含まれています。
  • カトリック教会はこれらの書を第二正典と呼び、プロテスタントは外典と呼びます。一方、正教会の聖書にはこれらに加え、マカバイ記3・4などいくつかの書が含まれています。
  • ルターは1534年の聖書でこれらの書を別のセクションに分け、1611年の欽定訳聖書はそれらを印刷しましたが、トリエント公会議は1546年4月8日にそれらを正典と宣言しました。
  • 現代のカトリック聖書は旧約聖書を七十人訳ではなくヘブライ語から翻訳しており、共通する書における違いは写本や翻訳の選択によるものであり、出版する教会によるものではありません。

The difference is seven books of the Old Testament. A Catholic Bible has 73 books and a Protestant Bible has 66, with the same 27 in the New Testament.
