  • 聖書にはLucille、Lucile、Lucillaという名前の人物は登場せず、この名前にヘブライ語としての意味はありません。
  • LucilleはLucillaのフランス語形で、LucillaはLuciaのローマ時代の愛称です。LuciaはLuciusの女性形で、ラテン語の lux, 「光」に由来します。
  • 男性形のLuciusは、使徒言行録13章1節とローマの信徒への手紙16章21節に登場します。
  • 「光を運ぶ者」という意味を持つのはLuciferであり、Lucilleではありません。
