  • Micha 6:8 noemt nederig wandelen met God, samen met rechtvaardigheid en barmhartigheid, als wat de Heer vereist, in plaats van brandoffers en rammen.
  • Spreuken 3:34 wordt geciteerd in zowel Jakobus 4:6 als 1 Petrus 5:5 als: “God keert zich tegen de hoogmoedigen, maar geeft genade aan de nederigen.”
