概要

  • 聖書は星を崇拝することや、しるしから未来を占うことを禁じており（申命記4:19、18:10–12）、預言者たちはバビロンの占星術師たちを嘲笑しています（イザヤ書47:13–14）。
  • ただし、聖書の中に十二星座の名前は記されていません。 マザロット （列王記下23:5）および マザロテ （ヨブ記38:32）は、星座や十二星座を指している可能性があります。
  • カトリック教会のカテキズムは、星占いや占星術を相談することを、拒絶すべき占いの一形態として挙げています（2116）。
  • ラオディキア公会議（4世紀）やトルッロ公会議（692年）の正教会の教会法は、聖職者による占星術を禁じ、占い師に相談する者には悔い改めを課しています。
  • ルターとカルヴァンは占星術を否定し、南部バプテスト連盟の1988年の決議では、占星術をニューエイジ運動の偽りの希望の一つとして数えています。

Yes. Scripture forbids divination and the worship of the stars, and the Catholic and Orthodox churches and the Protestant Reformers all condemn astrology used to foretell events or explain character.
