  • 聖書の中にStar、Estrella、Stellaという名前の人物は一人もいません。
  • ヘブライ語名がハダサ(「銀梅花」の意、エステル記2:7)であるエステルは、ペルシャ語で「星」を意味する名前であるか、あるいは女神イシュタルに由来する名前である可能性があります。
  • タルムードには、諸国民が彼女を「イシュタル(金星)にちなんで」エステルと呼んだというラビ・ネヘミヤの見解が記録されています(メギラー13a)。
  • Estrellaはスペイン語で「星」を意味します。1909年のレイナ・ヴァレラ聖書では民数記24章17節で大文字で表記されており、カルメル山の聖母はEstrella del Mar(海の星)と呼ばれています。
  • ヘブライ語で「星」は コハヴ; と言います。シモン・バル・コシバは、ラビ・アキバが民数記24章17節を彼に当てはめた後、バル・コクバ(「星の子」)と呼ばれました。
