  • 聖書における霧は、長続きしない現実的な何かを意味します。それは決して神の臨在の象徴ではありません。神の臨在は「雲」であり、霧とは異なる役割を果たす別のイメージです。
  • ヤコブの手紙4章14節で使われている atmis, という言葉は、鍋から立ち上る湯気を指し、人間の命を表しています。これは計画を立てるなという意味ではなく、「主の御心であれば」という一言を添えるようにと教えています。
