  • Bernstein kommt in der King-James-Bibel dreimal vor, in Hesekiel 1,4, 1,27 und 8,2. Keine Person in der Heiligen Schrift heißt Amber.
  • Das hebräische Wort ist Chashmal, nur in diesen Versen zu finden; die Septuaginta übersetzte es als elektron, Bernstein oder eine Gold-Silber-Legierung.
