  • El ámbar aparece tres veces en la Biblia del Rey Jacobo, en Ezequiel 1:4, 1:27 y 8:2. Ninguna persona en las Escrituras se llama Ámbar.
  • La palabra hebrea es Chashmal, que solo se encuentra en esos versículos; la Septuaginta lo tradujo como elektron, ámbar o una aleación de oro y plata.
  • Muchas Biblias lo traducen como un metal brillante: “glowing metal” (NVI), “bronce refulgente” (Reina-Valera 1960), “airain poli” (Louis Segond).
