概要

  • 新約聖書において「聖徒」とはすべての信者を指します。パウロはローマとコリントの「聖徒として召された」人々に向けて手紙を書いています（ローマ1:7、コリント第一1:2）。
  • 宗教改革の信仰告白は聖人の記憶を認めていますが、キリストを唯一の仲保者として（テモテ第一2:5）、聖人への祈りは禁じています。
  • アウクスブルク信仰告白、三十九箇条信条、ウェストミンスター信仰告白、および1689年バプテスト信仰告白はすべて、聖人への祈願を否定しています。
