  • El Sínodo de Trento decretó sobre el pecado original y afirmó que la transgresión de Adán afectó a toda la humanidad, conduciendo a la pérdida de la santidad y la justicia.
  • Aquellos que niegan la necesidad del bautismo para los infantes o afirman que no heredan el pecado original son declarados anatemas por el Sínodo.
  • Se requiere que los obispos y otros líderes de la iglesia prediquen el Evangelio y aseguren que sus congregaciones reciban enseñanzas sólidas, con sanciones por negligencia.
