概要

  • God describes himself to Moses as “abounding in love and faithfulness” (Exodus 34:6), and Psalm 103:8 calls him “abounding in love.”
  • The Hebrew word behind “love” in Exodus 34:6 and in Psalm 136’s refrain is ヘセド, love that keeps faith with a covenant.
  • Deuteronomy 7:7-8 says the Lord did not choose Israel for its size, since it was “the fewest of all peoples,” but because he loved it.
