What are the Beatitudes and where are they found in the Bible? The Beatitudes are a series of blessings proclaimed by our Lord Jesus Christ at the beginning of his Sermon on the Mount. They are found in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 5, verses 3 through 12. In the Gospel of Luke, we find a similar, shorter version in chapter 6, verses 20 through 22.
