  • As aranhas aparecem em Jó 8:14 e Isaías 59:5–6, onde a palavra hebraica é akkabish e a teia representa a confiança e os esquemas que não se sustentam.
  • Provérbios 30:28 traz “aranha” na versão King James, na Reina-Valera 1960 e na Bíblia de Lutero de 1545, mas “lagartixa” na NVI, ESV, NASB e na maioria das traduções modernas.
  • A palavra hebraica ali, semamit, provavelmente designa uma lagartixa; a Septuaginta e a Vulgata leem lagartixa, enquanto Rashi a interpretou como “aranha”.
