  • O Sínodo de Trento decretou sobre o pecado original e afirmou que a transgressão de Adão afetou toda a humanidade, levando à perda da santidade e da justiça.
  • Aqueles que negam a necessidade do batismo para as crianças ou afirmam que elas não herdam o pecado original são declarados anátema pelo Sínodo.
